It is a culinary version of rapeseed oil, very popular cooking oil since 2008 and is produced from bright yellow rape plant found extensively in large fields of United Kingdom. Canola oil has low saturated fat content and so is praised for its health benefits. Also, it contains omega 3,6 and 9 which reduces cholesterol level and keep your heart healthy. This oil can be used for frying at high temperature without any compromise in its color, flavor or other characteristics.

Look for the content description on the product. Most of them will have zero cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates and protein. Compare the fat content per serving and choose the one with lowest fat content.

Canola oil can be stored at room temperature for months, but ensure that it is in a steel container and not kept under direct sunlight.
